Pilates, Painting, Mr Kipling and The Copper Kettle

Grandmas should keep busy  and not spend their time falling asleep in front of daytime television.

Monday

Grandma goes to life drawing on Monday morning to a group of both amateur and professional artists. To learn more about this group look on the link

Tuesday

A group of  aged Kipling enthusiasts ( the author not the cake maker) meet in a Cambridge college to discuss and read his works. The class has ended for this academic year . This is just as well for there have been tensions over a much loved biscuit tin and differences of opinion as to whether or not old Etonions should wear their old school ties on all occasions. The latter is out of my social league but that is Cambridge for you.

On Tuesday afternoon the oldies Pilates class had a different teacher. This was a botoxed crone who was rude to everyone .She asked a nice man with an ankle injury if he had done it having sex on a bicycle and then decided to address a charming German  as Ecclescake as she could not pronounce his name. The whole class left in a huff.
Get well soon Tansy.

Wednesday

A short service in St B------s followed by coffee in The Copper Kettle with some very clever and amusing friends. This cafe is not to be missed  if you  visit Cambridge , a good place to gossip, eat , drink and admire the view.
